Who is using the 10" MTX/Thunderform box?

I was wondering who is using the single 10" MTX/Thunderforms box for 93 to 02 F cars. I just put mine the hatch today and there seems to be WAY too much fiberfill in there. Did you guys just leave it as is , or should I remove some of this . I also dont have a woofer yet and was wondering what anyone one would suggest. I was looking at some subs that seem to work well in sealed boxes starting at .6 Cu internal volume.
Apline E/S series
Rockford Punch series
Kicker's
Polk MOMO's
Infinity
Image Dynamics

Any others............

Im pushing about 200w RMS to the sub, Thanks.....

I have that MTX Stealth box.

I had a JL 10W3 D2 in there before and it sounded real sweet till it blew out a few weeks ago. Then Ls1 Rulz recommend a Alpine Type "S" sub over the "R" sub and I have to say it works as well as the JL audio did but at half the price.

I have a friend that had a RF Punch and also the stock MTX box, I did not like the sounds of the MTX sub (neither did he). the RF Punch sounded OK but niether were no were near as sweet as the JL or the Alpine S. I gave him an old 10W1 I had and he loves that much better than the MTX or RF sub.

I left my polyfill alone. It did not seem to be way too much in there in mine though. I am powering my sub with a RF 400-500RMS watt amp.

For the price, I would recommend the Alpine S.

Hope that helps.

I know its not the same as (1) 10" but I had (4) Polk Db 12's in a blazer and they sounded nice. I guess I am just saying if Polk makes one that fits I wold buy it!

I had one in my car before I switched to 3 12's. It came loaded with an MTX Thunder 5000. I was really happy with it. Just wanted a little more punch.
