How can I add components and an amp?

How hard would it be to add a set of front components (maybe infinity kappas) and a 2 channel amp to the stock monsoon system and keep everything else stock, including the deck?

Or if I wanted to replace the deck, how hard would it be to use an aftermarket deck with the same setup (changing only front speakers and adding a 2 channel amp and keeping the sail and hatch speakers)

thanks

Once you have a good component set up front, the stock rears will be superfluous. You can tap into the Monsoon system to get a signal to the aftermarket amp, but you could run into noise issues. Your best bet if you want everything on a budget is to get a good aftermarket deck, a good 4 channel amp, a good 10" sub and stealthbox, and of course your components. By the time you've spent money on integrating an aftermarket deck into the Monsoon system, you're pretty much at the same point anyways. Trust me, once you have the Kappas in the car, the Monsoon stuff won't satisfy you anymore.

I had a $1400 setup in my 98 SS, and I dont want to spend that kind of money on a stereo again if I can help it. Thats why I wanted to just add new speakers up front. And, I dont need a sub for my music, The stock monsoon has plenty of bass for me. I had 250 watts goin to a 10" stealthbox last time, and I really dont think it helped me out that much.
