Where to screw in the amp?

Question Where to screw in the amp?

I got the custom subwoofer box for my camaro which has 2 12"s ... So the amp doesnt fit on there... It fits right on top of the gas tank.. But i dont where to screw it in .. Because of teh gas tank... Is the gas tank real close to the wall?/

btw i have a 94 camaro...

To mount amps there, what I do is put a piece of 3/4" or 1/2" MDF under the carpet there, and screw into that instead of the metal of the car.

Good idea.... So the screws wont go through the gas tank right?

depending on what kind of box you have, you can mount the amp under the box

As long as your screws aren't too long... don't use a 3" drywall screw obviously...

I have also been able to mount amp on a piece of wood in the little pocket area on the driver side. Another option is to build an amp rack in front of your spare tire. It works great if you leave enough cable to move it if you have a flat.
