Where to put my subs??
Okay im gonna have 2-12's, my car has t-tops, so i could really use my rear storage space, now is it that mad if i put my box over the gastank hump? if the subs are facing up, will it be real bad with rattling? (300rms+300rms) Whata all your input on this on this?
Re: Where to put my subs??
I have one 12inch sub facing up towards the glass. I made a box for it to place the box in the t-top holder when t-tops not in use then behind the set bench -above gas tank area when t-tops removed.
go to subthump.com they got some sub boxes.
When you install your system you will get some rattles. The gas lines on underside of the drivers side will rattle. Place a piece of rubber their so the lines won't rattle.

Re: Where to put my subs??
Get a JL Audio stealth box and go with one sub. I get a crap load of bass from a JL W3 with the stealth box...only problem I have is not hammering the sub when putting my t-tops in their storage. Perhaps I should try slowing down...
Re: Where to put my subs??
Well I was running speaker wire on a 4th gen owned by a kid I work with at work yesterday and he just went and put his 2 12" Alpine Type-R's in a box and stuck it on the rear seat. The seat's down of course. If you are like me and want the use of your backseat (I find the space ample for just about anyone and quite comfy), the millhouse box is the only way to go. Best design IMO for 4th gen t-top cars.
Re: Where to put my subs??
Okay well i put 2 12's in the very rear trunk space and for sure its the best place hands down, no questions ask. And it looks great as well. Thanks for all the advice.
