I have a read a few posts here that guys have mounted the antenna under their hood (fiberglass hood) or in the rear spoiler since it is fiberglass and have no reception problems whatsoever. Is this possible to do? I want to get XM radio but do not want to have an antenna on the outside of my car. Can XM antenna signal go through tinted windows? Is the inside of the rear spoiler the "perfect" stealth place for it? Thanks for any insight!

top inside hatch glass. not noticeable form outside, dont notice it from inside without looking for it

 

ahh yes...top of the hatch, inside on the glass...did you just use double sided 3m tape to mount it ?

yep, but you need to clean the area that you are going to mount it to . first use glass cleaner with amonia, then take a clean rag and douse with alcohol and rub doun the area. than stick antena to glass

 

I have mine on top of the dash. As far to the front as possible. No problems with reception.

DON'T use amonia on TINT... It'll likely eat the tint...
