Where is the amp?

Where is the amp?

Where is the amp on my car? I need to replace it, but obviously first i need to know where it is. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, i just figured everyone in here drove LT1s so someone might know...

iirc it's in the hatch, under the right side paneling above the spare tire attached to the wheel well.

That's where mine was in my '94 with the Bose system.

Thats where its at on my 97, Im pretty sure thats where its located on all cars. If not try listening for the relay click when you turn it on and off.

Do not post "amp" questions in the "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech" forum. There's an audio forum or "general" if you dont' want to put it in audio. Moving.....

i think its only in the rear if its a moonson system, i couldnt find it when i wanted to bypass it, and after a hint that bose speakers usually have amps at each speaker, i followed that lead and thats sure what i had in my delco bose 96, so i ran all new wires to keep things simple, and it sounded better too!
