Post What's the difference in Camaro/Firebird Monsoon systems/wiring?

I'm installing a Monsoon system into my Buick Grand National. I have the stereo, amp and speakers from a Camaro and would like to know if the wiring harness from a Trans Am will have the same number of plugs in the wiring. I posted this in the LS1 section, but shoulda posted it here.

THe only difference in the harnesses is the TA has wiring for a power antenna and is set up to have actual mids and tweeters front and rear. The Camaro has no power antenna and only uses a 2 way door speaker and a dual cone 4" in the back. This should pose no problems at all during installation.

your grand national will probably have some really different wiring to it. If you're using a monsoon head unit, you'd probably want the monsoon amp to go with it and all of the rest of that jazz. IMHO it wouldn't be worth it at all unless you're going for some look with the monsoon stereo, I'd say go with a new aftermarket head unit. It would be easier on you I'm sure.
