whats the best product for keeping road noise out
whats the best product for keeping road noise out
I dont really care much about stereo performance .. I've been looking at a few sound deadening products like brown breat, dynamat, fatmat, the composite stuff they have at bquiet.com .. not sure which one would be best for keeping outside noises out .. they mostly seem to advertise stereo performance .. but i dont care about that much ...
the thicker composite stuff at bquiet.com seem to be geared towards outside noise .. but wouldnt they be too thick to apply under the carpet ?
for brown bread users, was there any tar like smell or did you have to use a heat gun ? Im leaning more towards the brown bread ultimate thats found on eBay for $100 / 50 sqft .. unless you guys have any other opionions ..
myabe spray some of the M3 ruberized undercoating on top of the brown bread !?

3M Ruberized Undercoating... Remove the interior, mask off what you don't want spray'd and go to town. I've got about 6 cans of it on my interior and it works great for both applications, road noise out, and stereo in.
I've done it to many vechiles and the results have always been great. I've had issues with the sheet style before and not adhering to the sheetmetal or not adhering well enough to make the best difference. I give the truck bed liner analogy; spray-on Vs Insert and glue-in.

I use to always use RoadKill spray and mat. Loved both. Dynamat always worked well but not as good. But things may have changed since 1999 which was the last time I messed with these products. PEACE! KIR

Make your car more rigid with a good sub-frame connectors and stb, and apply dynamat, or the likes around.
