i was into stereos ALOT when i had my grand marquis i was running 3500 watts, and in the blazer i was running 5000 to my 2 15's and 1000 to my components.
in a 4th gen fbody, a 15 is wayyy too low a frequency and my musical taste is changed, so i'm going to 12s. i can do an optima and get an alternator rewound, run 0 gauge wires and rcas, i plan on keeping stock speakers and i was thinking 2 12 kickers l7s, and with 2500 watts that would WAIL.
that is kinda overkill but you dont have to blast it all the time, only sumtimes.
my blazer rattled everything loose, roofrack, hood hinges, my windshield leaked, broke the sunroof track, lights fell out of headliner, 3 back windows were loose and leaky. my friends mustangs had no problems and he has 1500 watts to 2 10s.
so do you think my planned set up will screw up my hatch or anything else? i know 3rd gens love to rattle apart with an audio setup
