I'm going to biuld my sound system piece by piece and right now I'm going to buy speakers... They're not going to be installed until the bulk of everything arrives.

I was going to have my dash modded into a Double Din and have the Eclipse AVN5495 Navigation / DVD - CD / MP3 player installed ... It probably means nothing but it puts out 50 Watts by 4 Channels... I was going to power the front two speakers by the head unit alone however everything in the rear would be powered by an Amp...

Recommendations?

 

Depends what your budget is -- also, do you currently have the Monsoon system? Why would you power the rear speakers by the amp (assuming you meant full range.....but then again, I don't know if you meant you had Monsoon subs in the sails which would need to be amped by something other than the HU)....if you were planning on full range in the rear as well, throw some cheaper coaxials back there (Alpine or something) and amp some nice components up front............but once again, all depends on what you are doing for bass/what you currently have.

 

Here's what ya do. Figure out how much you want to spend on speakers. Then go out and LISTEN to several different speakers in your price range, and buy the set that SOUNDS best to you. It doesn't matter what speakers we like since you're going to be the one listening to your purchase.
