what to set the frequency responses on an Alpine 7894

just got this Alpine, real cheap being the floor model, and wondering what I should set the frequencies for the bass and treble, I have changed it to the different hertzs, but I'm not seeing any difference. I am running the stock speakers (cant afford anything better) If someone could explain how the values affect the sound, or give me some setting I would be very happy, I know they put them there for something. I notice there is a LPF, and HPF, should I leave them off?

With the stock speakers I would set the HP filter to about 80-90Hz then adjust the bass and treble to your liking.

You don't need to use the LP filter unless you're running subs.
