Thumbs up What Radar Detector? In dash? Where to Buy?

I just got my first speeding ticket with my 95 Z-28 (took less then a month) It is a bogus speeding ticket but what can I do other then appeal?? I would like to get some protection from now on because a $325.00 ticket isn't somthing you want to get all the time. Time to get a good lawyer.....

I am interested in an in dash mounted radar detector and there are so many out there I don't knwo where to start.

Which ones are good?
How much should I expect to spend?
What brand?
What features should be in the unit??

I have played with some before where there are two flashing LED's in the dash board and a little **** that turns up and down. I don't know where ot get a setup like this or a better one and I need some help on this issue. Thanks for the help guys

I just got a speeding ticket that set me over the edge. It was one of those corrupt ridiculous tickets that a cop will give you at 1 am if they hate you. $325. A valentine costs about that so i will invest it in that and fight this ONE LAST TICKET and cool it from now on. Only speedy speedy is done away from everyone else or at the track. THese corrupt cops let a maxima speed in front of me then slow down and turn then I cruised past and they said I was going 69 and they got an accurate reading from the side. It's all bull****. I have seen the valentine unit. It comes with an indash mount kit and controls and upgradable software. The 1.7 version is just as good as the 1.8 so you don't have to pend money for the newer one. Hey lets Do a GP WHaddya say If these things work well it should save me ... right. Does anyone ahve any experience with actual use and salvation by a little detector?

LAter guys

i have a 93 nissan maxima. i can go 70 in a 55 easily and nobody looks, but when i'm in my camaro, look out. it's the sports car. it's fast. they assume you use it that way. Valentine1 is my recommendation, even though i dont have one... they are the best ever.
