What is the largest speaker that can go in the Sail Panel

I am looking to get better bass out of my sail panels. I would like to know what the largest size speaker (woofer/subwoofer) that you have installed, or seen installed in that space.

What is logically do-able?
I just want a good clean sound out of my system:

Yet to be installed:
Alpine MRV-540
Alpine 177A (components, front stage)

What should I get for the Sail Panels?

There are several people who have put IDQ 8's in there. I don't know how well they worked though.

The only way I would put anything other than a mid-bass in there would be if I coated the entire inside of that area with at least 4 coats of fiberglass to create an enclosure, and even then you can't fit much in there.

My Mid-bass Audiobahns with a fairly good size magnet for a 6.5", but nothing compared to a 8" sub, barely fits in there depth wise. I imagine if you spacered the speaker out it could fit, but it'll be snug.

There are several people who have squeeze some 8" JL back there. But be warned, it's no easy task.

What I really want is something that will give a good bass response in an open air situation...

Koda 6. You'll get notes WELL into the subwoofer range.
