weird electrical problem

I know this isn't a camaro but its all the same wiring. I have a very annoying electrical problem. My 99 TA/A4 has a stock engine with the egr delete, SLP Whisper lid, and a computer tune and the following stereo components:

Alpine MRP-F550
MTX T-Form 93-02 Camaro
Kenwood Excelon KDC-X591
Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 3
Clarion APX-1300
Infinity Reference 6010cs
Infinity Reference 6010cs
Tsunami Lite Wave Capacitor
Sirius SIR-KEN1
StreetWires PSK08RI 8 gauge
StreetWires UCT12 per foot
StreetWires PSK08RI 8 gauge
StreetWires ZN5250
PONT FIREBIRD 97- MS
Kenwood KCA-iP200 USB iPod Con

My problem is when I drive the car, the volt meter will fluctuate constantly. At night, the headlights, dash lights, and all the interior lights will do the same thing. The radio backlight doesn't do it though. Sometimes at a light, the volt gauge will dip to the yellow and go back up when I start to drive. I have had the battery and alternator tested in the car and the alternator tested good. The battery showed 54A at idle and the volts would never normalize. The tester actually showed the battery to be a 60% (don't ask where that number came from) and it was suggested I replace the battery or leave it for a charge. The problem with that is the car starts perfectly every day and I have never had a problem with the battery. The battery is an Autocraft Titanium with 875CA and 700CCA. I don't want to start throwing parts at this car if I don't have to. Batteries and alternators are expensive!

Try disconecting your amp and cap from the rest of the cars charging system and see if the problem goes away. I personally would have used heavier than 8 gauge wire instead of a cap. Caps charge and discharge very quickly and the small wire might be freaking your alternator out.

Try upgrading you alt. wire too. Ya could probally do the big three if ya feel like it which would help out your system a lot.
