Weird cd player behavior
Weird cd player behavior
I'm too lazy (and honestly don't quite care that much) to go through all my wiring, but here's what sometimes my cd player will do:
If the cd player is playing something at the moment and I get out of the car, it will quit playing as soon as I get out, but most of the times, as soon as I close the door, it will come back on. If I open the door, it will shut off completely again, then close the door and play again.
I have to POWER OFF the deck every time so that this does not happen.
The car is a 93 with the lame bose system (front speakers replaced with aftermarket) and I have a Pioneer DEH-P47DH installed using a PAC-OEM adapter. The previous owner was very creative not to mention dangerously curious
and a lot of the wiring has been messed with as a result.
I need to figure out what may be causing this. It's not a big deal since I rarely listen to anything in that car but if I ever forget about it, I might find myself stranded with a drained battery...
Ideas welcome.
