How would i wire a 12w7 to a JL 1000/1 amplifier.

Would it just be neg from amp to neg on sub/pos. from amp to pos. on sub?...

And would that be the same no matter what amp i hook it to? I mean would it still be 3 ohm if i wired it like that to a 2 channel amp?

 

Yeah you can only hook it up one way. Pos sub -> Pos amp, Neg Sub -> Neg amp.

If this is the 1000/1, it's a mono amp, so both positives are the same and both negatives are the same.
