I have strange problem with my 2001 Trans Am. The volume randomly changes while I drive and it happens with both the CD and radio. Needless to say, it is quite annoying!

I guess it could be an amp or head unit problem but I don't even know where to start. If anyone has encountered something similar, I would appreciate your help.

The stereo is completely factory and is the Monsoon single CD.

My guess is that the problem is with the steering wheel control buttons.
