Upgrading my stereo........AGAIN

Well, Im bored with what I have so I am upgrading. Here is my old system:

Sony MEX-1HD head unit with 10 gig hard drive
Xtant 3300c 3 channel amp
Diamond Audio Hex 6 1/2 component set up front
Diamond Audio M3 6 1/2 coax in sail panels
Diamond Audio M6 MagAlloy 10" sub in JL Stealthbox

Here is my new system that will be going in:

Sony CDX-C90 head unit
Sony XDP-210EQ 21 band EQ, crossover, and time alignment
A/D/S/ 850MX amp Rated 50x8. Going to run it: 200x1 to my sub, 200x2 to my fronts, and 50x2 to my rear fill.
AVI components up front
AVI 4" for rear fill in 97-up rear panels
AVI 10" in custom box to integrate with my cage that will be going in next week or so.

New system should sound WAY better. I was NOT impressed with the MEX-1HD for sound quality at all. Xtant amp was OK at best; most people thought it sounded unbelievable. ADS will be a huge upgrade for SQ and sheer power. AVI components should sound good but we'll see. May end up upgrading all of them to Dynaudio or Morel.....

More later as parts arrive.

I would put more power to the sub and maybe less to the fronts.

Got a link on that amp?

And why are you sticking with that Sony combo? If you have the money....... and it looks like you do...... there are much better out there.

I don't have a link to the amp. I have my system set up for sound quality, not all out SPL. I like lots of head room so I am running a good amount of power to the fronts. 200 watts of A/D/S/ power is more than enough for a single 10" sub.

Why am I sticking to Sony?? Cause I don't want to fork over 1500 for a Nakamichi CD-700 or the Denon unit that is similar for around 2000. The Sony C90 is still one of the most highly respected head units for sound quality. I am using the optical output so no RCA's for me.... If you aren't familiar, the C90 was 1200 and is no longer available in the US; seems like all the good stuff gets taken away......
