turn signal not flashing
turn signal not flashing
I took my car -- 2002 Z28 -- to get an oil change today.
When I left and tried to use my turn signal, I noticed it wasn't flashing. Not either side. The light comes on, but holds steady.
When they worked on the car, could something have been knocked loose or unplugged? Is it something I can check and possibly correct myself?
I'm pretty sure it was working before I got to the oil change place, because I think they would have mentioned it and offered to repair it if it wasn't working. However, right before I went to get the oil change, I had the car washed, and I know they spent a long time working on the interior and used a machine to blow air into the crevices around the dashboard area -- so again, I'm thinking something must have gotten dislodged.
I've done some searches online to see if there is anything I can do, and most everything suggests removing the panel under the steering wheel -- but I'm certain that panel wasn't removed earlier today. I just feel that whatever happened must be accessible, without removing anything major. But then again, clearly, I don't have a clue as to what happened, or what I need to do to remedy the problem.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The flasher may have been damaged. My lights did the same thing a few weeks ago...replaced the flasher, problem solved.
It's under the dash near the steering column...a little, metallic round object that plugs into the panel. Kind of tough to see and replace.
