Re: Are theses subs any good???

i had an elemental designs sub it was very nice especially for the price i payed.

what kind of sound are you looking for? do you want to be the loudest or do you just want a nice sub that will bump when needed but sound clear and nice?

the sub i had was not the highest end but not their cheap stuff either and i had one of the single 10" subs in my caprice classic wagon.. it would sound good on most every song but didnt go SUPER low (10" and the box i had it in) and i wouldnt be able to compete in any sound competitions..

BUT it did get the job done. and i was very happy with it.

ED makes a good product, especially for the price, their A-series subs are some of the best out there.

People started to recognize that they are garbage, junk subs not worth $10.00.

I agree audiobahn can be overhyped, but they make a good sub. I wouldn't touch their amps with a 10 foot pole however. We beat the crap out of plenty of audiobahns, and they still performed quite well!

I was running one of their A2200HCx amps for about 4 summers; running at one ohm mono, powering a magnitiude of different subs. They are fairly good, but I don't like how they did their fusing scheme. Even at low volumes, low gain settings, and low boost settings, it still blew the first 30A fuse always.....

Since the amp has been.... uhm... re-worked for a true 120A fuse instead of 4 30A fuses...
