i was thinking about getting these but dont know if their any good. they are Infinity Kappa Series 60.5-6 1/2 speaker component speakers, any good?

 

Infinity is always good stuff!

I run all JL Audio speakers, MB Quart is really great speakers too !

In my experience Infinity mid-woofers have been pretty poor. If you're only using the HU to power them they'll be OK. If you use high powered amps I would look elsewhere. I switched from Infinity to Boston Acoustics and couldn't be happier with the improvement over the Infinitys.

 

If your gonna get infinity get the kappa perfects.

 

They have a really harsh tweeter and a relativly weak mid compared to mids in the same price range..... For roughly the same price the Koda set will kill the Perfects in midbass and the tweet isn't nearly as taxing.... well i guess some like a screechy tweet.

 

Just IME, You CANNOT run Infinity speakers, other than Reference series, without an Amp and expect em to sound good... They need good clean power, not nessicarily a lot, to sound good. I agree on the weak midbass tho.
