System for a vert

Well gentlemen, I know NOTHING about stereo syatems but the time has come to turn my attention to a new system.

I have a vert with a roll bar and thus I have removed the rear passenger seats. It strikes me that it might be possable to have two larger speakers in the the seat location and possibly an amp sitting between them.

Obviously a custom box needs to be made. Can any one give me any insight, recommendations or examples or would it simply be a bad idea?

If it makes any differance I tend to listen to techno, dance, house, type music.

Thanks guys. Any guys with verts, I would like to see your system either way.

Tough to achieve loud bass in a convertable, but still very possible to achieve a nice well rounded system. Visit subthump for some ideas.

i think the biggest reason there is probs getting good bass in vert's is when you put the subs in the trunk... (and in that case, when the top is up, the bass sounds good..)

since you are thinking of putting some sort of box where the back seat was, it should sound friggin awesome...

i listen to similar music and have been recommended a good pair of 10's(since it is fast, hard hitting bass...) and a good 2 channel amp could easily be mounted on the box between the speakers..

a box would definately need to be made for it... unless, you wanted to just put a wedge shaped box or something similar back there.. and secure that sucker good..

all of that.. 2 subs, 1 amp, a box, the wiring to install it, and the actual install.. that could easily be 500 bones..

as always though, it depends on what kind of quality you want for the price you want to pay...
