Sub Broke?
Amp Broke?
Hey guys, this was my situation before....
I had
a MTX Thunder 6500d Amp connected to a JL12w3 at 4ohms.
a MTX Thuder 4244 Amp that had a front speakers connected to the front channel and 4ohms and 2 sets of rear speakers wired in parallel that connects to the rear channel at 2ohms.
Now, my MTX Thunder 6500d died. I was planning on just connecting my sub to the rear channel of my 4244. It's going to be bridgable at 120rms instead of 250rms of my 6500d. I'm a little short on cash so I might be doing this for awhile.
How should I connect my speakers to the front channel? My front speakers are components, and my 2 sets of rear speakers are composities. Should I just connect all the speakers and run it at 6ohms? Or should I just screw one set of rear speakers and just parallel the fronts and one of the rears for 4ohms?

You change the post on me!
The sub doesn't move AT ALL? Or only very little? Touch your hand to it. Feel ANY movement? If there is only very little..... your probably right. The amp is toast. I'd open her up and check for any fried components.
I wouldn't connect all 6 speakers together. Then you'd be running what 5WRMS to each?
I'd just give the components all the power and have no rear speakers. Then bridge the rear channels for the sub. Try it. You just might like it.
