Stock Stereo Problems

My GM tape player no longer plays tapes. When trying to put one in, the unit wont "grab" the tape. It then displays E13 on the screen. The radio, however, still works. I have tried many different tapes so it must be the head unit. Anyone know what code E13 means and how to correct it?

E13 = This unit is a POS and needs to be replaced.

you can pick up a new cassette player on ebay for under 50 bucks. The same one you have now. If you want to upgrade to cd the current pontiac cd player is running like 100-200 bucks.
