Stock Monsoon system: Need some advice

I have a stock monsoon system in my camaro. What I want to do is change all of my speakers but still have them run off the stock Amp & Deck(why?) Because I want to keep the look pretty much stock but I "have-to" change my speakers because their pretty much blown (d'oh!).

Anyways, what kind of speakers should I go with? Alpine, Rockford, MB (if I can) ?

Check the impedence on the stock speakers before you replace them.

I'm not sure about the monsoons, but the bose stock speakers have an impedence of something stupid like .5 ohms to work with the stock amps.

The stock subs in the rear sound good but I'm to sure about them. When I turn the volume up, the kinda lose that deep bass to them, is this normal? Or do I have blown sub speakers?

Yeah its normal your stock HU has to pull power from the bass to feed your mid / tweeters.

Just get this
clarion HU/ 600W amp / alpine woofer / infinity kappas

Man you make it sound so easy One things for sure is that when i play a song that's got heavy bass my speakers just crash - the music will stop, and i'll get this horrible noise as if I can't get any reception from the radio (even tough I'm playin' a CD) what gives?

Sounds like you got it from the internet and burned it to a CD from your computer...

Probably. With all the damn copyright crap out there now, it's tough to get a decent rip nowadays. Put in a regular purchased album and see if it does the same thing. If not, you're golden.

And help all the file sharing people out there by listening to the first 30 secs of each song. A friend of mine, , had to dl one song about 40 times to get one that wasnt crap. Recently Ive heard that MX isnt having this problem. Not that Id ever dream of dling music...Oh and as far as the speakers, trash can em and replace the whole system. Youll save alot more money and time in the future.

Speakers bud, checked it out with a couple of cds. I've got rockfords upfront, so I'm thinkin' go with some rockfords for the rear - no?

Your best bet for matching the frequency response, hence matching sound quality

Check it out. It's an improvement over stock, looks stock, doesn't cost much, and isn't that hard to do. Took me a little less than an hour to rewire the speakers and I'm no expert by far.
