You will simply need a line-level adapter that (few bucks from any shop) that will convert the speaker-level output of the head unit to the pre-amp (line-level) input needed by most amps.

You can also buy some amps with speaker-level inputs.

Just look for an amp with a high-level input.. Unless you already have one.

speaker level and high level inputs are the same, so you may see one term or the other used in case that confused anyone..

You're much better off (IMO) with the line out converter and a good pair of RCA cables. This will allow you to tap into the signal at the back of the radio, and convert the signal to a low level or RCA output which will help to reject some of the noise that would be picked up between the stock radio and stock speaker. This will also allow for an easy hook up if you do decide to replace the factory HU.
