speaker problem

speaker problem

ok heres my problem i have two jl comp. 10s a kicker 800 watt amp and a jvc head unit . the problem when i turn up the volume past 10 the speakers cut out ? i switched the amp to another and checked all my connections any suggestions would be great thanks

The speakers or the subs. Every Amp has subs to match the ohms. you need to wire your subs together to make it 4ohms cuz thats what your amp is probably going to like. Also make sure you have it properly adjusted. And the wiring. I would probably recommend a high quality 8guage or 4guage wire any skinnier would probably not be good. When you switched the amp did it do the same? maybe one of the subs are no good. Try playing one sub see if it cuts off.
