I would still vote for the D4 models since 2 running at 2 ohms is just more common...unless you use an amp stable at 1 ohm.. Plus, you still have the option of getting optimal factory performance at least for whatever reason...
Either way - I guess select you amp first, and then decide the VC impedance combo that works best.

Just picked up some 62.7i off ebay for 60.00 shipped.Now I am going to order the D4. I think that il'll just hook them to the monsoon amp and see how they sound. Then either get a 4ch amp down the road for them and another amp for the sub. Who makes a good 4 ch amp that would suite my needs?

^ Memphis or kicker. I've grown quite fond of the kicker amps over the past 5 years or so. I'd REALLY like one. What are the specs on the speakers? What's the tweeter made of?
Usually I try to get a tweet made NOT of metal. Metal tweets tend to be a bit tinny.

I just did a complete 360. I got rid of the Infinity and got some CDT CL-6EX for the doors and CDT CL-6 midbass for the sail panels. Was looking at this amp
