sounds like alternator noise but....
Ok here we go with one of the weirdest things I've ever encountered...Every one knows the whining alterantor noise you get when you have a bad ground...anyone ever experienced this same noise with out any rca's hooked to the radio and the motor off...It seems to only do it when both amps are connected...but what the kicker is...I had both amp hooked up the same way in another car never had a problem...both amps are pioneer premiers...I moved them from the Camaro to the toyota truck...they are hook up the same way in both...4 guage wire...4 guage ground...both on distrubution blocks...everything is identical down to the very 8 guage wire I used in the camaro...and it's not a constant whine...it changes pitch just as if the motor was running and was revving...can't figure it out...any ideas?
A bad ground does not cause alternator whine. Alternator whine comes from having multiple paths to ground. This is what is known as a ground loop.
Try connecting one amp at a time to see if it's only one amp doing it or both. If it's only one of them there may be a problem with the amp. And since it's a Pioneer that wouldn't surprise me any. If both amps do it then I would go over all your wiring again.
You can try using a set of muting plugs. Muting plugs are just RCA plugs that have the center pin shorted to the barrel. Remove your RCA cables and plug the muting plugs into the amp's inputs. This provides the amp with a 0 volt input. If the noise is still present with the muting plugs then you have an amp problem. If the noise goes away you have a problem with either your wiring or the amp.

do you have both amps ground to the same spot? is so, good
try moving the ground location
as simple as it seems............this worked for me before.............i had ground noise in one place................moved the ground to other side of the car and had no noise.
