Get call from credit card company within an hour asking to approve authorization.

Get email from SD with order number and check it out on their site. Notice free speakers not listed. Go to site catalog page and it has been edited to remove offer.

Email customer service and repy to sales on their confirm email to find out what's up.

Get reply that it is out of stock and it's a coincidence that limited time offer was up right when I made purchase. They offer $30 off my purchase or another set of smaller speakers.

I told them to cancel the order. I dislike "bait and switch" tactics.

If I hadn't inquired I would have received the order not as purchased most likely no explanation.

No way to run an operation. If an order is placed on an expired offer the purchaser whould be notified prior to completing the transaction.

So, am I the exception or the norm?

Yea, their prices suck anyway. I always like to send in their little "105% lowest price guarantee" request in with items off of www.ikesound.com heh its funny to see what they send back to me. Usually some BS about how it must be a "one time special" or something like that.

I did go to Ike and got the MB Quarts DKD 116 and DSD 216 for a fraction of the cost of SD's CDT's. I went back to SD to see if I could order the coaxials they offered for free and there was no indication during order process of an out-of-stock condition.
