Sound deadener on the OUTSIDE of car?
I put some B-quiet inside the hatch area. I'm not done yet, but I have squeaks outside the hatch like a ***** when the bass hits. When I press my left taillight against the body the rattling stops. The bumper shakes like hell too. I was wondering if anybody has had the need to sound deaden the outside like underneath the bumper or someplace. I would think that sticky asphalt crap would melt in the summer. I was already wearing shorts today playing hoops in the morning, so you can imagine how hot summers get here (sun melted CD changer last year).
Well, I did solve the tail light rattling. Go to your local hardware store and get some weatherstripping. I used 5/6 x 1/8" I believe. I placed it so the top of the tail-light pockets where the tail-light presses closest to the car; it keeps it from rattling, after installing that, It eliminated 99% of my ecternal rattles, now I've got one on the inside to find.
This is what I did to help quiet down the outside of my car..... http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=224958&page=3
