Sound Dampening???
Sound Dampening???
Who makes the best trunk kit? It will be going in a 2000 Accord. I have heard good things about Brown Bag but I dunno if I should just get a Dynamat trunk kit? I just want to keep the trunk from rattleing.
1. Who makes the best product?
2. How much is it?
Thanks

You mean brown bread??? LOL!
Yeah, a lot of people use brown bread. They all seem to like it. I use RaAmMat. I like it. Whatever you do, don't buy Dynamat. WAYYYY TOO expensive. Great product.... just WAYYY overpriced.

Personally I've used a few of the "cheaper" dynamat competators, and they've all pealed in time due to the heat inside the car. The backing material actually seperates from the substrate (adhesive/mass material).
I've since then been using 3M ruberized Underbody coating. It comes in a aerosol can and you spray it on like paint. It costs about $6 a can, and I did the pit and surrounding area in my Bird with about 2 cans, and that was double-coating most of it.
It works 100* better than any of the sheet stuff that I've used, although it's a little tougher to apply. You pretty much have to dis-assemble everything and mask stuff off, because if you get it on your paint, your screwed, it's not really comming off.

I put down about 35 sq ft of Brown Bread in the trunk area of my T/A and that stuff is the most wonderful product ever created.
I bought 70 sq ft b/c I plan on doing the doors and other misc parts but just what little I used got rid of about 80% of the rattles in my car.
