sony head unit error beebs?

sony head unit error beebs?
i got a used sony head unit, a cdx-4000... when i turn it off the thing beeps in 3 sets of two.
i thought that this was a short to ground because it sparked when i put the ground connection on but i cant find anything that would cause that....
any information would be helpful... thanks

It's just to tell ya that it's in the dash. Mine did that too. Don't worry, it's normal!
If it's detachable it's telling you to take the faceplate out, if it flips up it's telling you it's going to hide itself.
