Question Sony CD changer and cruise control stopped working at the same time ....

I'm getting power to the CD changer but when I try to play it it displays something like "EE" and doesn't do anything. Also, my cruise control stopped working at the same time. I noticed this after recently R&R my supercharger. I changed plugs recently and observed things while at it .....all the cruise control stuff looks intact. I didn't install the CD changer myself so not sure on that one. Any ideas? I checked fuses and the ones that look normal are fine, what are the big black boxes in the fuse box? ...are those some other type of fuse that may be blown?

I find it odd that both problems would happen at once, it must be something I've done while R&R the supercharger, but what?

I'd say possibly a bad brake switch for the cruise control problem, or the switch is not being fully pressed when you release pressure on the brake pedal.

So it may be acting as if I'm on the brakes all the time and therefor not allowing the CC to come on, am I understanding you right? Where is this switch and how do I diagnose it? Thanks for the info.

Thats right. Typically, it is either built into the brake switch, or there is another switch directly above or below the brake switch. just look at your brake pedal, and follow it up. You should see it

Anyone else have any ideas? How do you determine if it's the switch on the turn signal assembly? Thanks

Not yet, I will check that first as a process of elimination. I have very little time to mess with the car ...hence the reason things are taking so long. So if either one is out it will kill the cc or do both have to be out?
