Picked up a new stereo last night getting ready to install.

I have an adapter plug for the cars harness and then the headunit plug, should I connect the adapter and headunit wires together with crimp connects or should I solder them?

Either way I have some heat shrink tubing and some electrical tape I plan on wrapping the "splice" with.......I know that's probably overkill.

I always solder all of my connections and shrink wrap them. Too many times I've seen installs that were crimped and end up getting pulled apart somehow. Most likely because they didn't use a proper crimping tool.

I'm lazy so I crimp, but the will come aparty if u put stress on them. (Yea, I crimp them right). Either one doesn't really matter, both do the same thing.
