"Sleepy Lock" Dissable

I am wanting to put an aftermarket alarm on a 96 TA for a buddy of mine. His car has the "sleepy locks" After the car has sat locked for 3-5 minutes, the unlock featuer will go to "sleep", not allowing you to unlock the car doors with out the key in the door. Is there an easy way to bypass this feature so I can use the new alarm key-fob to unock the doors at all times?

What your talking about the RAP system. Retained Accessory Power. make a direct connection to the battery to "bypass" this system.

Radio, locks, interior power. generally remain running for 5-10 minutes or until a door is opened. then 10 mins after the doors are locked the lock buttons lose power or get ignored by the BCM.

check out Brent94Z's website for how to bypass this for alarm installs, there's almost a step-by-step install guide there for alarms on our cars.
