Satellite radio FM Modulator bypass ????
I have an 1.5 year old Alpine 852? ( the Din and half unit for Gm and Chrysler). Its non Satellite ready. I want to add Satt. radio but I hate the fact that I'd have to use an FM Modulator.
Now I see at Crutchfield that they sell 2 brands of interfaces that will convert the CD changer output to an AUX. output so I can by pass the FM modulator .
Anyone heard of this or used these? Seems to good to be true. Thanks...........

i know the plug that you are talking about, i have one myself.....what the
plug does is make it an aux input. the qustion is, does your alpine have
an aux input? i know on the newer models you have to go through the
menu system to activate it. on my car i use it for mobile video but i dont
see why it wouldnt work for xm.......... the only thing is that you will still
have to use the hand held controller for xm, but you will have full digital sound. once the aux is activated on the deck, you just hit the source button
and it will go right to it.
