Running the POWER to the brain

Right now my power cable goes down through the engine compartment following the exhaust pipe, going every which way under my car and to the spare tire location and up through the seal. I know, wtf??

My question is how do you get the wire on the inside?
I know you have to take the computer out in the engine bay and run it through the seal on the firewall, now how do you get to that area from the inside?? What dash pieces do you have to take off in order to get to it??

Thanks for any help

Well, on my firebird I need to take off the top kickpanel on the PS side obviously, the panel that's directly below the glovebox. To really run any wires you're also going to have to take off the kickpanel/rocker trim piece too. Really easy stuff, 4 screws, 1 metal clip, and 2 plastic pins, and both panels are off.

look under your hood in back passenger side of the engine bay. You'll see the PCM. Take the two 10 mm bolts off and pull the PCM out of the way. Behind there on the firewall, you'll see a grommet. Move it out of the way and you'll have access to the inside of the car. Follow the other dude's instructions to run the wire.

did you ran it through they way I explained it? if you did, make sure you didn't pull any wires on the PCM. Also, is it trying to turn over or trying to start like it's a dead battery?

It was turning over trying to start, the battery was ok. Well this morning I got in the car and started it again and it died after a second, then I tried it again and it started and ran. Wouldn't idle very well for the first 15 minutes of driving it and doesn't seem like it has a lot of power. WTF??
