looking for info on electric/retractable antenna.
what kind works and fits the best in f-body,where to buy one at best price...

Just got some cheepo universal one off ebay, and bolted in. Works fine, but I never use it. XM BABY :P

Universals arent always the best option IMO. Some cars they work well in, some they do not. Try pricing one from GM Parts direct or even the dealer. Plug and play is always easier as well. Thats the absolute best way IMO...

We sell the universal power antennas at work for $60. The money spent on the OEM is will worth it IMO...

Circuit City has them...several autoparts stores have them. OEM...Universal....I don't really see a difference. It's an antenna...has plungs...attaches to the car...retractable. Can you get any added performance out of an OEM antenna than a Universal one? Me thinks not. Just go lookin locally for the cheapest one and buy it.

If you already have the wiring harness for the motor, and the mounting brackets for the OEM power antenna are already there, then it would be much easier to install the OEM power antenna. It would just bolt in and plug in. No cutting or splicing.
