I have a set of 4 Pioneer speakers I can sell you. They are 5 3/4 I think.

Bought them new and used them for about 4 months in my Camaro before I put the Bose back in. If your interested I'll sell them relativly cheaply. E-mail me if you are interested.

I belive the 3rd gens had 4x6 speakers in the dash and 6x9s on each side of the back seat.

They should be simple, just remove and replace with new ones. You'll need factory wiring adapters to the new ones, but Metra makes them or if you order from Crutchfield, they give them to you.

the rear speakers are very easy to change, they are just one phillips head screw at the top of the speaker grill, once you have that off you will be able to slide the cover upwards to remove it. after that its just 4 torx screws holding the speaker in. the front speakers are a little more difficult, you have to take the entire dash pad off. there are about 10 7mm screws on the underside of the pad and i think 4 phillips heads up where the defroster is at. it is worth doing it your self because at work we charge like $37 for a pair of speakers. what a ripoff, i hate that place!

Stock replacement is 4x6 Front and 6x9 Rear. I prefer to see people spend a little more money and run 5 1/4 in components in kick panels and a 6 1/2 midbass in the rear. This will yield a much better sound than going with the stock speakers. Round speakers are mcuh superior to th oval onces as far as sound reproduction is concerned.

Thumbs down

the custom kick pannels made by q-logic that rallyradtexan is talking about are JUNK! they are made from cheap thin plastic that make alot of vibration noise, they are not worth the $200 you would pay at best buy for them. i wouldnt recommend them at all. just thought id warn you.

I was in no way condoning the use of anything made by Q-logic, they suck. I was refering to a set of custom kick panels made from quality fiberglass. I can and have made sets for $130 that are in everyway superior to the Q-logics. Eccept ofcourse they wouldn't be plastic to match the interior, I prefer carpeting them or using vinyl.
