Replacing Speakers on my 94
Hey.
I'm getting ready to do a sound system upgrade in my 94 Z28.
Yes, its a Bose car and my question is will I need to run new wire to all the speakers or can I use the existing wires since the speakers seem to be individually amped?
Is there anything else I'll need to pull out in the process?
Thanks.

Bite the bullet lol. Run new wires everywhere and leave your stock wiring in place in case you would like to revert if you decide to sell the car. The factory wiring will not work anyhow if you are replacing the speakers. Kind of a pita, but I went through this on my old '95 and am about to do the same on my current 95

Agreed.... Run New Wires....
The Bose System uses separate amps at each speaker, but they are designed to run at 1 Ohm. Standard Speaker is typically 4 Ohms, so unless you route around them your typical speakers will have issues, and generally sound worse. I also found it easier and faster than trying to cut the factory wiring.
