Remote starter?

Does anybody setup remote starter by your self? How hard it is? I went to my car-audio shop and the said that they can do it for $150 (I have to buy a whole system). $150 just for install is little bit pricy for me! Tell me what you know...
Thanks

Cool here's some some good knowledge!!!

$150.00 is around the normal price of installation. it take around 3 to 4 hours to install a good system that does everything it can do. if you are looking for a remote start you might as well go with the alarm to. if you want the best viper is the best. they have the 790xv with pager and the 550esp.......both very good i have both of these and love them......autopage makes one with or without the pager.......both are pretty good. i've installed all 4 of theses before......thats some suggstions. get me back for more guestions if needed.

forgot something

i was trained to do alarms they aren't easy at all.....it's better off having someone install it......and also you mess something up your paying for it.......but they do it they pay........if you have the vats system in your car like i do........i just got my car back from the dealer for a problem with the vats and it cost me $320.00.... leave it to the pros.

$150 is resonable...

I know somebody at a car audio shop. I helped/watched when he installed mine. Trust me, it is not something you wanna do yourself.

Later,
matt
