rattle rattle vs. dynamat
Re: rattle rattle vs. dynamat
Dynamat is more for dampening body panels than rattle stopping. The best thing I've found for stopping rattles is the foam weatherstripping tape you can get at HD for like $2/roll. Basically examine the hatch and put the weatherstripping between all the panels that are rattling together. I used about 3/4 of a roll and my hatch is silent from the rattles. My main culprets were the tail lights (Ran a strip across the entire top of them between the body and tail lights), and the hatch interior body panel which got foam taped as well.
Dynamat is great for sound deadening, keeping road noises out and dampening the stereo noise, but I've never found it to be a good fix for rattling panels.
