RAP Moduel
RAP Moduel
Does anyone know anything about this modual? I took my car to the dealership and they think I have a bad one and thats whats causeing my windows, door locks, power top, side view mirrors, trunk release to not work. They said it would take 9 hrs of work to complete and would be $900 . Anyone know anything about this????
Retained Accessory Power (RAP) allows certain features like a convertible top, power windows and audio system to remain operable for up to ten minutes after the ignition is turned off. I wouldn't think it would take 9 hours to fix and $900. Go get a second opinion IMHO.
Yeah $900 seems awful high. I'd get a chiltons/haynes manual and see what that has to say or keep asking on the board. My guess is its over behind the glove box or passenger kick panel and can probably just be unplugged and replaced.
HOLY CRAP 900?!?!? What is our dealership thinking? Is your RAP working at all? The module (notice spelling LOL
) Is on the passenger side floorboard to the top front left if that makes any sence. And 9 hours of work, call the cops cause your gonna get raped! I could see that maybe four the most. Swing by my house sometime, maybe i could check it out, again? BMC95TA- the part you're talking about is the keyless entry module doodad, guess how i know...
