Radio harness wires help!
Some jerk who owned the car before me did some stipid stuff.
Ok so you want to put a radio in your car what do you do.
Go get the plug that plugs into the car harness and install your radio right?
No if you are an A** H*** you take a lighter and melt an inch out of each
wire and just tap in.
I can not believe somebody would do that to a car.
So here is my problem I had a problem with the plug on the car.
One of the conectons in the block was loose so I was able to pull it out with a
small pick and while it was out i used some shrink tube to fix the wire.
Now I can plug the radio in and it works great.
I can wiggle the wires and it does not shut off like it use to before.
Now I have 4 more wires that this jerk taped in to.
I tried to pull the conectors off the block so I could use the shrink tube on them too.
But after about an hour of trying to get the wires out It's just not
going to happen.
So what can I use other than nasty tape to have a permanent fix like the
shrink tube?
I would just cut the wires and put the shrink tube on solder them together.
But I don't know how to solder.
So what can I do?
Thanks,
Chris G.

Re: Radio harness wires help!
soldering is easy and it's the way to go.
just get a soldering gun/iron and some solder
all you need to do is connect the wires any way you want
heat the wires with the gun/iron
in a few second touch the solder to the hot wires and pull away when you can see some melted solder on the wires

Yea I guess I don't have a choice.
I found a web page that says to twist the wires together then put flux
on them then heat the wires up and touch the solder to the wires.
Does that sound about right.
I will have to give it a try on some wire before I try the harness.
Thanks,
Chris G.
