I cant get my remote to program to my 95 z28. im doing everything right. jumper, the door locks cycle but then it just wont recognize any remote. Is it possible that the box goes bad? the one behind the passenger kick panel

 

Mine did. I had to replace it with one from Ebay. Everything works fine now except the one I bought does not give me the ability to unlock the driver's door then the passenger door. They both lock and unlock together. As well as my interior light does not come on when I use the remote.

For less than 30 bucks I can live with it but I'm sure there are systems out there that will provide the exact same functions.

It all started by dwindleing remote range. New batteries did not help nor did a different remote. Turned out, after I pulled the old receiver that water had seeped into it and messed it up. I also have a detailed explaination of the wiring in the write up because I didn't want anyone else to have the difficulty I did finding out how to wire in the new receiver.
