Quick ?

Ok well my lil bros camaro has had a prob. We have tried 3 different cd players and everything on these work except when he puts a cd in it wont come through the speakers. The tuner will work great. There isnt a wire that controls just the cd player that I know of. Anyone ever had this happen?

Re: Quick ?

Ok well first was the stock cd player, second was an alpine, and the one we just tried is a brand new panasonic. Tried mp3 cd and wav. Stock speaker wires are there. It will work great with the tuner but no cd player

Re: Quick ?

is it a bose? sounds like someone replaced the head unit at some point, then put the factory back in. Sounds to me like the turn on for the factory amps is connected to the power antenna lead, which is turned off when the cd player is switched on

Re: Quick ?

Is it monsoon? If you are hooking up your tur on lead for the AMP to the power antenna from the HU then that could be the cause. Other than that im stumped. Its not the HU its got to be in the wiring. If you have a spare speaker around then take out the player and un hook one of the speakers wires. Try direct connecting it to the HU and then play a cd. If the speaker plays its the wireing somewhere. Check your turn on lead. Instead of the power antenna wire splice it directly to the Mainpower cable
