IPod and Bose. Can it be done?
IPod and Bose. Can it be done?
Is there anyway to hook up my Ipod Nano to the Bose stereo in my Camaro? I would like this to be as clean as possiable, not cigarette lighter or cheasy looking modules hanging around. I would like CD quality sound, but if I can't have it I'll understand. The car is 11 years old.
What kind of options are there for this? Please do not suggest getting a new head unit, I perfer the factory one.
What can I do?

Something like this.

I'm sure there are others, too.
---EDIT: Damn, it's for 97-02 Camaros.. Not entirely sure if it'd work with a 95.. I guess not. Try looking around for more car adapter solutions though
an FM Transmitter would work.. also a Cassette adapter. Those are not CD quality though, so you'll lose some quality...
I don't know of any other ways... :/
you'd be able to even use your factory radio's buttons to work the ipod.. which means steering wheel controls, too.

Re: IPod and Bose. Can it be done?
I know you dont wanna upgrade to a new HU but it will be in your favor no matter what. MasterEvilAce hit it right on the nose. You cant get CD quality sound with you old HU. Also you are gonna have some ugly looking crap in your car. The only other thing i can think of is to put in a second CD player in the glove box. Basically get a second wireing harness and splice them both in. Make sure only one is on at a time and i think it could be done. Its not exactly simple or clean but very do able. Someone correct me if i am wrong but it should only be a matter of wiring.
