SO i get a call yesterday from my buddy with a 98 firebird, and he complains about his power windows not working anymore. Im figuring its a fuse or the motors are shot or something. However, he says that he replaced the fuse and they still dont work (one is stuck up and the other is struck down), and everytime he hits the switch, she says the radio will shut off. So idk what the chances are that both motors died at the same time are, but the radio shutting off sounds like grounded wire or something... I just wanted to see if anyone had this problem as well or if anyone has any ideas on what this could be? Thanks

 

There is a module under the dash called the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) module. It's what allows the power windows and radio to work after the key is turned off for about 3 minutes or until onr of the doors open. It's probably bad.
