power cells.....

power cells.....

does anybody know anything about power cells... i was thinking of installing 2 Kinetik HC800 power cells in my truck one for each amp...

I'm not to sure on the batteries but 950 cranking amps should be fine. What kind of amp are you going to be running??

I have two 12's hooked up a Alpine MRP-M450 amp and another 12 hooked up to a Power Acoustik TS1440-2 amp, which both are hooked up to a 20 Farad Boss Capacitor......

I would assume that the battery would be fine for your setup.

is it like a battery or a cap? how does it recharge if its a battery, cause don't you hook up both the ground and power of the amp to it....?

A cap basically is a battery. You to charge it just like a battery too. If you don't know how there should be a little tiny wire with your cap. Ground the cap and connect the wire to your power wire and then to the cap. Yes the amp does hook directly up to the cap but don't have it connected during charging. When you charge the cap let go of the wire really quick cuz it get REALLY HOT, REALLY QUICK!!!!!!! You don't have to ground the amp to the cap but you can if you want to.

You mean lik,e if you take it off of your setup right??? Disconnect it from the power wire???? It doesn't stay charged it will discharge itself.

To tell you the truth that cap probally isn't going to do anything for your system. Here's a good read up on that:
